When I Think of Research

When I began this class, I was not that familiar with several of the topics and terms discussed in the text as it related research.  Although, I have written research papers in the past, this course has helped me gain a different perspective about research and how valuable it can be to the EC field.  I have also learned that during research it is important to plan out your research design and every more so when researching in the early childhood field.  My ideas about the nature of research has also changed in a sense that I now understand how important it is to ensure the validity of the research.  The challenges that I encountered had to be mainly gaining an understanding of new terms and their meanings.  The course application assignments were very beneficial in helping me achieve that goal.
